This one-of-a-kind platform incorporates a wide range of multimedia possibilities as well as flexibility in integrating multiple peripherals.

The system was developed as a control module for the embedded control system and consists of three boards:

 

Processor Board

This is the main board that has the processor, memory, system power source, memory card slots and other system components. All software (the boot loader, Das U-Boot, the Linux kernel, and the RootFS with applied software) are stored in the 256MB NAND Flash memory. 128MB of DDR2 RAM is available for the user. FPC cables are used to connect the processor panel with the other boards.

Display Board

The display unit consists of a TFT screen with a 640 х 480 resolution. Control buttons are located around the screen. The user is identified by an RFID EM Marine Reader.

Network Interface Controller

The NIC contains the main power supply with an input voltage range of 6-28V, an LFP battery system as a backup power supply, a 2x10W stereo amplifier, a GSM/GPRS/UMTS modem, a GPS module, and a 2.4GHz radio subsystem for connecting with peripheral devices. A radio modem based on the Microchip MRF24J40 radio allows for the creation of a MiFi network utilizing P2P protocols with a 50-meter radius.
